They are both twenty when they first meet, when Nao knocks over the bucket of fish Hiroto was carrying and gets it all over her new dress.
Review: This drama is about young love, and how painful it is to be in love, because no matter what, you are two different people, who want different things in life and who have other people depending on you, whom you depend on. And maybe, there are a lot of chasms that love cannot bridge over. Specially when you are young and inexperienced and naive. No matter how much you wish it to be so, maybe it just cannot be.
This screams shojo manga from the very beginning. And proceeds to scream shojo manga till the end. Enough said. It was sickningly lovey dovey, and sweet, and painful and unrealistically realistic.
Yet, for some reason, I kinda liked it. I blame it on the soundtrack, which was very emotionally evoking.
I also think that this drama, somehow seems to suit Kame. I will grudgingly admit that he can act. A little bit. Also, the annoyingly sickningly lovey dovey stuff was sweet at times. And this was really sad too. Drove me to near tears.
Spoilers
Specially the part where Nao ran away from home, near the very end, and said that she would give up everything for him, and asked him to give up something for her too, and he said that he cannot. That he cannot give up anything, and that even if they ran away to the country and made a life, after three days, she would miss her mom and her dad and her brother and she would cry. She would cry and he would not be able to do anything for her...
Kame's character was dislikable and likable at the same time. I loved how he had no idea how to use a cellphone. It was sooo cute.
The little 'whales communicate over great distances' idea was very sweet too. And the orange thing. They acted like little kiddies about it too. heheh
Tanaka Koki was adorable in this. The expressions he made, were priceless. And he was totally cute and adorably sweet in regard to Yuuko, whom he loved, and when she and him went on the 'date' too, he was so adorable, saying he wasnt a "flower character" (as in he wasnt really the type that could easily give flowers), when she asked him when he was giving her the flowers he had put in the back seat of the car, for her, making her fall for him. Although it was pretty sad, yet realistic that they did not end up together after all in the end. Although it was sweet how they were still friends. And Kou said that he was nervous meeting her even after he was married. -_-'
I loved how Hiroto pretended he forgot about when he got her the orange thing and the festival where they first held hands and how Nao got mad because of that, and told him to give her back her precious memories and he got mad too and told her that she had no right to say that since SHE was the one who was getting married.
Although of course the ending was so cliche happy. I really didn't like how it ended since the guy that Nao was going to marry very nicely just gave up, conveniently making the way for everything.
Although Hiroto and Nao at the ending was kinda adorable. So was Hiroto running after the bus Nao was in shouting "Bus! Bus!" ^_~ And then everyone running after the bus, when Nao realizes she had forgotten her bag.
Oh yeah, and he says, that when he is with Nao, it seems like he is always searching for something. Which IS kinda true I suppose, since Nao fell for him when he fell into the pool WITH HER, and then looked for her contacts when she said they were lost, and her purse before that, and then the orange thing, and then one thing or another. Sweet ^_^
Sweet story, sad too, and occasionally a little funny. Good if your looking for a sappy love story. Which, I agree, we do need, sometimes.

Note: I am definitely staying away from Kame drama's for a while. I mean, I NEARLY caught the damn virus this time T_T It was bad enough, watching him all adorable in One Pound Gospel and then all sad and pfftish in this. I REFUSE to be caught by it. Neh-vuh!Just a nice person.

Genre: Romance, romance... romance? Uh...
This is fluff overload! Hmmm....GOTTA WATCH THE REST!!! KAME!!!!~ >o<
Ooh, did she say fluff? Adorwable... me needs fluff! I miss my HP fanfics...
It's got sad music in it... >_< and it's probably not funny at all...
Demo, KAME~~~~!!! You're shoo cuuute!!
Lilac san, you can stay away??? Admirable... (not that I think that's very healthy LOL)
Ofcourse i can stay away. its KAME drama's after all :P
Its 'tooooooo' fluffffyyy....
I hated Ayase's character though they look good together!! Tooooo whiny and girly. I liked the girl Erika played and Kou is definitely made the drama tolerable...
besides she looks a lot here like Jin and its outright creeeepyyyyyyyy.........
the screenwriter wrote the drama for Kame's character in GOKUSEN + Jin was also in GOKUSEN...
which makes it creepier...
The cutest thing abt it is Kame's little brother who I wanted to kidnap and keep as my little brother....
Also:::
Kame's haircut when he was 25 = <3333333333333 *fangirls*
I didn't really hate it but come on... they didn't really try... the obstacles weren't THAT BAD and the fate of the world wasn't threatened .
*drops by dreamily to comment* Nnnnyya~ Don't ask me why I love this drama, I just do, 'nuff said. Wait, I GOTTA say something, so here goes!
I blame it on the soundtrack but this nearly drove me to tears... So cute~ >0< Their love was so beautiful... And Koki's running style left me agape! This must be one of those soapish dramas ne? But I liked it a lot anyway!
(Oh, and I downloaded the Cool Whispers song and I love it desu~ Does anyone know of another drama with cool soundtracks?)
Reality sucks. This drama's a warning from the Elders. "We Control Who You Can Fall In Love With So Don't Just Fall In Love With Anybody Coz You'll Regret It Plus It'll Be Tough To Break It Off."
It was cute. It didn't drive me to tears, but yep, the soundtrack did effect me too.
And LOL with your usage of 'desu', Fa-chan.

yuae: must admit, kame's last hair cut was pretty good looking *nods* (Seee i DONT discriminate. i jst state FACTS :P)and yeah it was kinda wierd tht way, the fact tht they jst gave up! thts the unrealistically realisticness i said about.
fably: you have tht song? the pweetty escaflowne like song? i want it O_O
loara: well yeah, but they got together in the end right? so its the elders also giving us FALSE HOPE and telling us to give up now. ITS A CONSPIRACYYYY ^_^
I'm watching it.T_T
